Cisco VPN issue explanation is a complete nonsense. Parallels Host-Only Adapter (en2) is not bridged by Parallels to the internet. As its name suggests it is used in host-only mode specifically to create an isolated network.

Sound works with an open source driver audioi810

The audioi810 sound driver at http://www.tools.de/solaris/audio works, which by design does not support mixer feature.

Sun audio810 should support this device with mixer, but there is still a bug (not sure now if it is a bug of Parallels bug or audio810 driver). Work is under progress on this.

Can not boot Solaris on Opteron

I tried booting S10 1/06 on the same Ferrari (Opteron-based) laptop.

It panicked in a different place with a similar trace calling hat_unload->hat_kmap_unload->x86pte_invalidate_pfn
